This life-size foot model depicting diabetic foot syndrome represents an advanced stage following ray resection. The ray resection is realistically replicated as a consequence of necrosis and a deep ulcer. Additionally, the model shows other typical changes of diabetic foot syndrome, such as additional ulcers, lesions, and pronounced skin fissures.
The detailed anatomical model allows for a realistic representation of complex wound conditions, such as those occurring in patients with diabetes mellitus. It is ideally suited for training in wound management as well as for nursing education specializing in chronic wounds and diabetic foot complications.
The design for attaching to nursing mannequins allows for a realistic simulation of nursing situations. Nurses, trainees, and medical students can practice realistic wound assessments, treatment procedures, and preventive care steps directly on the mannequin.
