The WBS Hospital Warming Blanket is a specialized solution for professional temperature management in a clinical environment. Designed as a two-part full-body system, this self-heating disposable medical device actively supports the maintenance of patient normothermia. Autonomous heat generation eliminates the need for external power sources or additional radiant heaters, massively increasing flexibility in busy hospital routines while eliminating tripping hazards from cables in the operating room.
The blanket has been specially developed for use in all critical phases of patient care – from preoperative preparation and the intraoperative phase to postoperative monitoring in the recovery room. Thanks to its division into two segments and the integration of 12 heating elements, heat supply can be precisely controlled and, if necessary, optimally adapted to anatomical requirements or the surgical field. This ensures an uninterrupted thermal chain that effectively reduces the risk of perioperative hypothermia and can thus positively support the patient's recovery process.
As a disposable product, the highest hygiene standards are maintained. The risk of cross-contamination, which can occur with reusable systems, is completely eliminated. The easy handling saves medical professionals valuable time: unpack, place, and wait for the automatic activation of the heating elements.
