The Sarstedt S-Monovette® with a nominal volume of 2.7 ml and lithium heparin preparation is the ideal primary vessel for plasma collection in clinical-chemical laboratory diagnostics. The precisely dosed heparinization reliably prevents blood clotting, thus ensuring an unadulterated analysis of blood components. Equipped with a highly transparent screw cap, this closed system offers medical personnel excellent visual puncture control directly upon insertion, which significantly increases application safety in everyday clinical and practice settings.
The blood collection system is characterized by maximum methodical freedom, as it allows the user to choose freely between aspiration and vacuum techniques. The gentle aspiration technique protects sensitive or fragile vein structures, while the vacuum technique enables fast and efficient work during multiple blood draws. The clever valve design ensures that changing the Monovettes during the collection process is absolutely drip-free – an essential factor for infection control and hygiene in the workplace.
A particular advantage of this model is the transparent plastic label. Unlike conventional paper labels, it provides an unobstructed view of the sample level and the centrifugate without affecting subsequent barcode reading or labeling. The S-Monovettes are supplied sterile, are ready for immediate use, and can be seamlessly combined with existing Luer connections via multi-adapters or Multifly® cannulas to optimize workflow in the laboratory.
