The 22 cm surgical wound is a realistic wound mock-up made of skin-friendly, flexible material for simulating postoperative wounds. It adheres independently to the skin of a simulation patient, to training mannequins, or to the included base and is ideal for the practical demonstration of surgical incisions after various procedures.
The wound simulation can realistically depict postoperative situations following knee replacement surgery or cesarean sections, among other procedures. Thanks to its soft and adaptable material, the moulage can be easily applied over joints or movable body parts without losing its shape or adhesion. This makes it particularly versatile for use in medical training.
The surgical wound is available in two versions – with and without sutures – to realistically depict different surgical and healing situations. If the adhesive strength of the mold weakens, it can be reactivated by simply wiping the back with medical alcohol. For longer training sessions or courses, the additional use of a suitable skin adhesive is recommended.
