Micropore™ Silicone from 3M (Solventum) is a self-adhesive fixation plaster with a silicone adhesive layer for the gentle fixation of wound dressings, compresses, and medical devices. It was specially developed for use on sensitive or vulnerable skin and is suitable for situations with frequent dressing changes.
Silicone technology ensures reliable adhesion while allowing for atraumatic removal. The patch can be repositioned and is generally easy to remove with minimal pain and without significant damage to the superficial layers of skin. This is particularly important for geriatric patients, pediatric applications, or in cases of pre-existing skin damage.
Micropore™ Silicone offers consistent adhesive strength and ensures a secure fit of the dressing material. The flexible backing material adapts to different body contours and promotes comfortable wear. The blue color facilitates visual identification in clinical settings. Supplied without a dispenser, it is intended for single application as needed.
