The magnetic human hand, right by Erler-Zimmer, is an anatomical teaching model for the clear illustration of the bony structures of the right human hand. The model was designed for use in training, teaching, and demonstrations and supports the visual communication of anatomical relationships within the hand.
The individual hand bones are connected using integrated magnets and – with the exception of the medial and distal phalanges – can be removed and reassembled separately. This design allows for a differentiated examination of the joint connections and the spatial arrangement of the carpal, metacarpal, and phalangeal bones.
The model is mounted on a base that allows for stable presentation during lessons or demonstrations. The magnetic connection allows the bones to be repeatedly disassembled and reassembled in teaching and training situations.
The magnetic hand is intended for use in anatomical and medical education, including in orthopedics, physiotherapy, and related fields. It serves solely to illustrate anatomical structures and does not perform any diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical function. Use outside of its intended teaching and demonstration purpose is prohibited.
