Hypergel is a highly concentrated, hypertonic saline gel with 20% sodium chloride (NaCl), specifically used for the gentle dissolution of dry necrosis (autolytic debridement), in a mass of 15g. Due to its osmotic effect, the gel draws fluid from necrotic tissue, which softens dead tissue and allows the body to break it down more easily.
It is applied specifically to dry or fibrin-covered wounds, especially chronic wounds such as ulcers, pressure ulcers, or diabetic lesions. Hypergel is easy to use, highly effective, and cost-efficient, making it ideal for use in both clinical and home settings.
