This hip joint model realistically depicts the human hip joint based on a true-to-life cast. The femoral stump, anchored in the joint, is held in place by a fully represented ligamentous apparatus, including the iliofemoral, ischiofemoral, and pubofemoral ligaments, made of elastic material. This allows for a clear explanation of the structure and stability of the hip joint.
The model allows for the demonstration of typical movements such as flexion, extension (retroversion), abduction, adduction, and limited internal and external rotation. It is mounted on a removable stand and is suitable for educational, training, and demonstration purposes, as well as for factual patient education. The product is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
