"Decubitus Dan" by Erler-Zimmer is a realistic, life-size simulator for training nursing staff in the care of pressure ulcers (decubitus ulcers). The model depicts various stages of pressure ulcers – from stage 1 to stage 4 – and additionally shows deep tissue injury, unclassifiable necrosis, and an approximately 12 cm wide, gaping wound (dehiscence). Made of soft plastic, the model is ideally suited for practical exercises in dressing management, vacuum therapy, and other nursing procedures.
