The Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D is a specialized foam dressing specifically designed for the anatomically challenging heel region. Its three-dimensional fit eliminates the complex cutting of conventional dressings, which not only saves valuable time in daily wound care but also minimizes the risk of application errors. The precise shaping ensures seamless contact with the wound bed, which is an essential prerequisite for effective exudate management.
A special feature is the 7 mm thick polyurethane foam. This extra thick layer of material serves as a mechanical cushion, protecting the sensitive heel region from external influences and supporting significant pressure relief. This is particularly crucial in the treatment of decubitus patients. Despite the high material thickness, the dressing can be individually cut if necessary to perfectly adapt it to the respective wound situation.
Thanks to the siliconized adhesive layer on the wound contact side, a painless dressing change is possible, while the outer layer protects against contamination. Please note that additional fixation (e.g., by elastic bandages or fixing plaster) is required for a secure hold. This ensures full flexibility in the choice of fixation material, tailored to the patient's skin condition.
